Our Solution Story

In 2018, North American Properties began a major redevelopment of Newport on the Levee, a multi-level retail and entertainment complex located across from downtown Cincinnati on the south bank of the Ohio River in Newport, Kentucky.

North American Properties chose dB Integrations to facilitate an overhaul of the existing audio and video systems in order to add value to tenants and patrons.

AUDIO

dB began by upgrading the audio throughout the complex: the controls of the existing system were replaced to give a level of automation that was previously lacking. Traditional audio wiring was replaced with a networked solution that allowed for different speaker zones and automation throughout the development. A custom-built interface allows for multiple sources to be played in different zones simultaneously, including performance spaces indoors and out.

DISPLAY

Additionally, North American Properties wanted to add a “wow” factor to the development, and dB was able to provide just that by installing a 276 sq. ft. digital display from Fairplay to the Bridgeview Box Park, Newport on the Levee’s open-air shipping container park.

A custom-built dB interface gives Newport on the Levee the ability to display digital signage, show movies and broadcast live events, even picture-in-picture. The screen debuted at Run for the Roses on the Levee, an outdoor showing of the Kentucky Derby, and will be used regularly during the Summer Music on the Levee series featuring local musicians.
