Our Solution Story
Grace Fellowship, a Church of God congregation near Athens, Georgia, had a long-standing goal of building out an effective audio system in their primary worship space to better serve the congregation and support their musical talents. The existing system exhibited uneven and anemic coverage coupled with a bright, fluttering echo that diminished spoken-word clarity and musical cohesion.
AUDIO
dB’s Ronnie Stanford approached the challenge with a two-fold solution, deploying highly directional Danley loudspeakers to minimize the initial interaction with the sanctuary walls and targeted acoustic treatment to mitigate the remaining problem areas. dB Integrations designed and built custom acoustic panels to control the acoustics in the auditorium. “By keeping the system focused on the seating area, we were able to achieve an even +/- 3 dB coverage and a level of clarity and intelligibility that was frankly not attainable in the previous build.”
Audio
Low-frequency information is expertly handled by a single Danley subwoofer placed at floor level under a revised stagefront. The mix is driven with an Allen & Heath dLive digital console, giving Grace Fellowship’s volunteer and contract operators expanded toolsets to support the worship experience. The broadband response and greater acoustic control of the new design have paid immediate dividends, both in removing distraction and maximizing the opportunity for authentic artistry to communicate.
dB also installed a pair of 8000-lumen video projectors to enhance the live experience in the main sanctuary.
