Our Solution Story

YANMAR is an international manufacturer of sustainable agricultural equipment, with its American headquarters in northwest Georgia. The company’s goal for its new training center was to incorporate a wide variety of spaces and features in one large facility while promoting environmental sustainability and a community focus.

Total System

AUDIO + VIDEO + LIGHTING + CONTROL

dB Sales Consultant Neil Philpott was recommended by Butch Birchfield at architectural firm Croft & Associates to design the YANMAR Evo Center technology systems. Because this was a brand-new kind of project, the client’s goals evolved, and dB’s design adapted to meet the changing plans. dB also honored YANMAR’s dedication to sustainable agriculture and the environment in its choices of equipment, selecting brands and models with lower energy consumption.

The client requested full theatrical lighting so that its 250-seat auditorium can accommodate plays and small concerts as well as larger format presentations and speeches. A 15-foot-wide Full HD Draper projection screen and Panasonic’s LED/Laser HD projector ermakes community film presentations an option. The audio system contains a variety of stage and Shure wireless microphones and stage connections with a Danley Sound Labs speaker system providing unprecedented intelligibility and musical reproduction. The auditorium and various meeting rooms are all available for rental by local community members, increasing the need for all technology to be easy to operate.

Six training rooms, designed for classroom instruction plus hands-on learning, are equipped with dual Sharp 65” screens with Crestron touch panel control systems to accommodate YANMAR’s desire to conduct all training bilingually and adjust all resource inputs and audio volume. dB provided portable video systems with GoPro cameras so instructors can give trainees a close-up view of how to maintain and repair the machinery being studied. A production studio with Primetime Lighting’s LED studio lighting and Blackmagic 4K cameras allows in-house production of YANMAR’s presentation and training materials.

Visitors in the foyer are greeted with two curved Visuco 15-foot-wide LED walls that produce just 10% of the heat of traditional monitors. dB designed all signage to operate on the same Bright Sign signage platform, so that LED walls and TV monitor screens may be operated autonomously or linked together.

All training and conference rooms feature Evoko’s Liso room scheduling systems outside each door, overhead speakers and a wireless microphone inputs, plus Polycom’s video-conferencing systems and Kramer’s Via-Pro wireless source device connectivity for the conference rooms. The A divisible classrooms also features technology that can operate as one system or as three separate autonomous systems.Crestron control systems provide easy control of input selection, volume control, system management, and power management.
